L'Agefi introduces e-bill for subscriptions

Business newspaper in western Switzerland now using electronic billing for subscriptions

The business newspaper L’Agefi in western Switzerland has introduced e-billing. Subscribers to this French-language daily newspaper can now receive, check and pay the bills for their subscription directly in e-banking at the click of a mouse. Readers of "Evasion" and "Profil" magazines, both published by L'Agefi, can also take advantage of this convenient and secure billing method.

In order to receive bills electronically, subscribers must activate the service in the e-banking portal of their financial institution under "e-bill" and then register with L'Agefi for the e-bill service via the biller list in the e-banking. The next invoice will then be sent electronically via e-banking instead of on paper. This eliminates the need to enter payment data in the e-banking and to file paper invoices.

"As a newspaper publisher we have a special relationship with paper. And, just as we are continuously expanding our online range, we also offer our readers the possibility of convenient payments – electronically and completely paper-free", says François Schaller, Editor-in-Chief of L'Agefi.

Many bills can already be received as e-bills via the e-banking service – Billag invoices for radio and TV fees, premium and benefit statements from health insurance schemes, electricity, water and gas bills, credit card bills, Internet, mobile phone and fixed line bills, etc. The following companies offer e-bill for subscriptions in the publishing field: Editions Le Nouvelliste SA, Imprimerie Beeger SA, Ringier AG and Südostschweiz Medien. Individuals can see which billers offer the e-bill service at www.e-bill.ch/billers.
