CKW now offers environmentally-friendly e-billing
03/01/2012
More than 500,000 people are already using e-billing in Switzerland today. CKW private customers can now also receive, check, pay and store their electric bills directly in their own e-banking system.
By dispensing with bills on paper, CKW customers can contribute towards reducing environmentally damaging CO2 emissions caused by the production and dispatching of bills on paper. If, for example, all CKW private customers would switch to e-bills with electronic bill storage, around 3 tons of CO2, 30,000 kilowatt hours of energy and 300,000 liters of water could be saved annually, just through the reduction of paper production.*
The e-bill represents a further commitment by CKW to use energy and resources efficiently within the scope of its consistent environmental and CO2 management.
Further information about the e-bill can be found at: www.ckw.ch/e-rechnung.
